Build-A-Bear Louisville

If you are traveling with children and are tired of hearing them complain they are bored, the Build-A-Bear workshop is the perfect place to take them. This is great for rainy days or when you are looking to just spend some quality time with your family. Your child is going to have the opportunity to build their very own bear with the help of a store associate.

Your child decides on an animal they want and then the staff member will stuff the animal with stuffing. After that m your child picks a heart from a jar and a saying is said to ensure your child takes care of them. If you r child wants, you can get a sound voice box that is loaded with sayings, and is placed inside the bear as well.

Your child will pick out clothing and other accessories for the bear. There are several to choose from and your child can choose to dress their bear as a girl or a boy. They can create a birth certificate and give their bear a name.

Historical Sites

There are several civil war sites that are found in Louisville. You can visit the oldest grave yard Cave Hill Cemetery where you can learn about who is buried there as well as the many forts located around the graveyard. There are several monuments as well located here. There are also guided tours that take place in April as well as October.

Fort Duffield Park

This is a great place to visit to learn about the Civil War. The fort was named after Rev. George Duffield who has a son that was Colonel William Duffield that led a Michigan Infantry. This site, as well as West Point is great sites as they have the largest earthen fortification. Nowadays, this site provides 10 miles of bike trails as well as hiking trails. This location is also home to 61 soldiers that lost their lives while building this fort.

Louisville Beer Store
